Day 1: Lima

Upon arrival at Lima airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and escorted to your hotel located at Lima airport. Overnight in Lima at Costa del Sol Ramada Lima Airport – Standard Room.
*Lima city is located at an altitude of 80 meters (262 ft) above sea level.





Day 2: Flight Lima - Cusco

Morning pick-up from your hotel and assistance to board your flight to Cusco.
Upon arrival at Cusco airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and driven to your hotel. Free afternoon to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
PM. Pre-departure briefing with your Inca Trail Team.
Overnight in Cusco at Casa Andina Private Collection Cusco – Superior Room.

Day 3: Cusco private City Tour

Free morning to explore Cusco at your leisure.
In the afternoon, your private driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel to show the beautiful Inca city of Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; you will visit not only the most beautiful pre-Columbian buildings but also the wonderful Inca Ruins located on the outskirts of Cusco city.
Tour highlights: Koricancha temple, Cusco Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Q'enko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara.

Day 4: Cusco - KM 82 - Wayllabamba

After an early breakfast, your Inca Trail guide will pick you up from your hotel and head to the trailhead at Km 82, upon arrival we will meet our team of native Quechua Porters and Cook; now we set off on our lifetime adventure in the Incas’ land!
We cross the Urubamba River and start our first day of hike, passing through eucalyptus groves and Giant corn fields! We will enjoy the views of Llaqtapata, a massive Inca complex of agricultural terrace and the Vilcanota Mountain Range. Finally we reach our first campsite located near the Quechua community of Wayllabamba (hiking time: approx 6 hours).

Day 5: Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca pass - Pacaymayo

Today is our most challenging day in the ancient Inca trail to Machu Picchu, we start hiking through the dense forest towards Warmiwañusca pass, known as the dead woman pass located at an altitude of 4,200 meters (13,776 ft) above sea level, after some hours of hard work, we reach the highest point of the Inca trail, besides feeling the strong cold winds you will enjoy the stunning views of peaks and valleys. After taking pictures we start descending gradually through a rock trail; finally we reach our next campsite in Pacaymayo valley (hiking time: approx 7 hours).

Day 6: Pacaymayo - Wiñaywayna

Today, we will see more Inca ruins and reach our second pass located at an altitude of 3,850 meters (12,630 ft) above sea level. We hike up for about one hour through an Inca stairway to Runkurakay ruins, a building which was used as a “Tambo” during Inca times, a place to rest for couriers following the Royal Inca trail; the trail continues to climb towards Runkurakay pass, here we have spectacular views of the snow peaks of the Pumasillo range; then we descend towards the Inca Complex of Sayaqmarka located at an altitude of 3,588 meters (11,772 ft) above sea level; the trail starts descending and the forest forms a green tunnel along the way turning it into a fantasy walkway, beautiful orchids start to appear; then we visit one of the most impressive Incas’ site, the archaeological center of Phuyupatamarka pass located at an altitude of 3,572 meters (11,722 ft) above sea level, a strategic point with a beautiful view. Finally, we reach pour last campsite near Wiñaywayna, the most spectacular archaeological complex of the entire Trek (hiking time: approx 8 hours).

Day 7: Wiñaywayna - Inti Punku (The Sun Gate) - Machu Picchu (hiking time: approx 2 ½ hours)

Today is a special day; we have our most beautiful view of Machu Picchu! We wake up very early and head to Inti Punku (The Sun Gate) where we will have the most amazing pictures of Machu Picchu.
Finally, we achieve our goal; we reach Machu Picchu and feel that all the great effort we put up during our hike was worth it!
We will enjoy our guided tour of this impressive Inca city and learn about the secrets of the site. After the guided tour, we will have plenty of free time to enjoy an explore Machu Picchu on our own, an unforgettable experience that will stay with us forever!
12:30 p.m. Buffet lunch at Tinkuy Restaurant located at the Sanctuary Lodge.
PM. journey on board the Vista dome train from Machu Picchu to Cusco. Upon arrival at Cusco train station, you will be driven to your hotel.

Day 8: Flight Cusco - Lima

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Cusco airport to board your flight to Lima. Upon arrival at Lima airport, you will be met by our representative and driven to your hotel located in the upscale neighborhood of Miraflores.
This afternoon is free at your leisure or free to rest and relax Overnight in Lima at Casa Andina Private Collection Miraflores – Superior Room. (Breakfast included)

Day 9: Lima private Tour. Flight back home

After breakfast, your private driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel and show Lima city, known for centuries as The City of the Kings and in the more recent years as the Gastronomic Capital of the Americas.
Tour highlights: San Francisco Convent and its Catacombs, Plaza de Armas, Plaza San Martin, Palace of Government, Park of love, Olive Park, San Isidro district, Huaca Pucllana.
PM. You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Lima airport to board your flight back home.
